How To Master French

Here are some ways to master your French skills so that you are prepared for French unit tests, quizzes, and more!

1.Explore French media and learn from them  - Use the media to learn to pronounce basic verbs, adjectives, noun, adverbs, and then writing them on a piece of paper. Also use it to listen to conversational lines so that you are prepared to talk to other individuals.

2. Talk to yourself - By talking to yourself you are practicing talking with other individuals in French. Learn how to express yourself in the language by asking yourself your favourite food, sport, hobbies, etc. â€‹Anything about yourself is fine as long as it is relevant to when you ask a real person about them.

3. Speak with Others - Now you have that you have all that covered, it is time to speak with a real person! Learn from the person you are speaking with. Note the lines they respond with and try to interpret what they are saying. Replay the conversation a few times so that you can step by step learn the words and pronunciation spoken in every sentence. And for extra improvement, play it more times.

4. Write regularly - Once you have interpreted everything that the individual has said, it is time to write it down! First, grab a piece of paper and write down every word that you have learned from the conversation. Now challenge yourself to write more and slowly improve on the phrases and placement. For example, Bonjour (hello), Bonsoir (Good evening), Salut (Hi informal), Au revoir (Goodbye), Je m'appelle

5. Review regularly - Review your french notes regularly so that you are familiar with what you have learned so far. Make sure to do this every week or so so that you will adapt to the French algorithm and move on to more advanced courses.

6. Prioritize and Focus - Concentrate on studying and memorizing by creating flashcards and notes. Prioritize in order on what is important to learn in French. Step by step up, work your way up to the top level and strive for success.

7. Link To Visuals - Picture French words as visuals so that you can memorize what that word means by looking at the picture. And whenever you don't remember the word just think about that photo and it will instantly pop back in your mind. I suggest copying and pasting these pictures into quiz format so that whenever you come across the photo, you can just click on it to review the answer. And make sure to provide icons so that you know what you are looking at.

8. Supplement with engaging content - Add to your learning by inputing video and stories that match your level of skill in French. Engage in balanced magnitude of  French learning.  With the same level of content, you can take easy measures and study with ease. No need to worry anymore about learning with higher level resources

9. Embrace the journey - Don't let others discourage you with your learning. Embrace it and move on and don't let others stop you. In and then out
