About French and Its Importance

About French:
French is a language that was developed by in the napoleonic era in 1867. It is now a language used by us Canadians in the citizenship of Canada. French was first spoken in the region of Gaul located in France around the 9th century. The language serves as a global reach now with hundreds of career opportunities.

Importance:

French is important because it is spoken globally around the world and it serves as a primary language in Canada. Learning French can help you get more opportunities in jobs because you can talk to people who doesn't understand English but speaks French. The language can also enhance your cognitive skills. With French, your skills in communication would improve academically.

Countries:


Some francophone countries speaks French as well, here is a list of them:

  • Senegal

  • Niger

  • Burkina Faso

  • Benin

  • Cameroon

  • Cote d'Ivoire

  • Togo

  • Mali

  • Guinea​

  • Republic of the Congo

These countries speak French because of colonial history between France and Belgium as they have once colonized land in Africa during the 19th century. These countries continue to be part of  the French colony today. And with that, people from Africa are immigrating to France to learn more about the language!  Comme c'est incroyable !​

As of today, a total of 29 independent countries speaks french including the ones listed from above! With French getting more complicated in the future, we might see other countries start to speak French soon in their history. French also uses some parts of  English in their language. For example:

  • Le shampooing

  • Le job (go get one)

  • Le meeting

  • Le pizza

Conclusion:​

As you can see, there are a lot of English that involves around the French language today. The reason for that is because it is so make communication faster and more efficient especially with tourists. And so, when foreigners travel to France, they can understand some of their language. Therefore, English is a huge part of the French language due to its relevance.  â€‹
