Here is a list of Math courses at Rc Palmer:


MA: MATHEMATICS 8
Prequisite: Grade 7
The course introduces students to a variety of math topics that could potentially benefit them in the future. The course explores concepts and knowledge that was once explored in Grade 7. Students will explore simple starter concepts like number operations, algebra, logic, and measurements.

MA: MATHEMATICS 9: 

Prequisite: Math 8

This course continues to explore and develop the concepts of mathematics and curriculum. The core consists of the same topics discussed in Math 8 continuing and allowing for students to develop on the knowledge they once learned.

MA: MATHEMATICS 10: 

Prequisite: Math 9 

This course conjuncts the mathematical knowledge taught in the previous two courses with curricular competencies in problem solving, reflection, and communication skills. The courses consists of number operations, algebra, trigonometry, and data analysis.

MA: MATHEMATICS 11:  

Prequisite: Math 10 

This course provides the necessary concepts for students to apply for post-secondary studies. The core curriculum consists of mathematical reasoning, angle relationships, and graphic analysis. Students will continue to learn processes learned in previous courses.

MA: MATHEMATICS 12:

Prequisite: Math 11

This is the final course where students will be taking math in Rc Palmer. As Math 11, this course will provide the most important concepts of math for student's post seconday studies like university, college, you name it. The course consists of transformations and analyses of various functions used in higher mathematics, geometric sequences and series, as well as trigonometry.
